Font License

This page explains what you may do with CraftoMate fonts. There are two licenses: the Free Personal Use License for fonts you download free from this website, and the Commercial License that comes with fonts bought on Etsy. The license file in each download shows the exact terms for that font.

Free Personal Use License (free fonts on this website)

You may use a free font for personal, non-commercial projects, for example:

  • school and club work, presentations and posters;
  • gifts, cards, invitations and party decorations for family and friends;
  • home decor, scrapbooks and personal crafts;
  • social media posts that do not promote or sell anything.

You may not use a free font on products you sell, in logos or branding, on packaging, on merchandise, for client work or in advertising. For those uses, a Commercial License is needed.

Commercial License (fonts bought on Etsy)

When you buy a font in the CraftoMate Etsy shop you receive a commercial license for that font. It allows you to use the font in your own projects and in products you sell, such as:

  • printed products: T-shirts, mugs, stickers, signs, invitations, packaging and labels;
  • digital products: templates, printables, social media graphics and websites;
  • logos, branding and client work.

The license covers you or your business. If other people on your team need the font, they should buy their own copy.

What is not allowed under either license

  • Reselling, sharing, sublicensing, lending or giving away the font files.
  • Uploading the font files to a font website, a marketplace, a file-sharing service or a cloud folder that others can download from.
  • Offering the font as a font, for example inside an app or product where others can extract and use it. Please contact us if you need to embed a font in software.
  • Claiming that you created the font.

How the fonts were made

The letterforms were created with the help of AI tools, then converted, cleaned up and finished into working TTF and OTF fonts by CraftoMate.

No warranty

The fonts are provided “as is”. We do our best to make them work in common programs, but we cannot promise they work in every program or on every device.
