What Is a Color Font and Where Does It Work?
A color font stores colors inside the font file itself, so every letter can have gradients, patterns or several colors without extra work. The common format is OpenType COLR, which many modern apps support.
Where color fonts show their colors
Support depends on the program. Apps that support color fonts show the colors; apps that do not show the letters in a single color. That is why every color font in this shop includes a one-color Solid version and color PNG and SVG files.
Tip for Cricut users
Cricut Design Space shows color fonts as one-color text, so use the SVG files when you want the colors on a cut project.
